Julie Sutter, CAE
Julie Sutter has spent more than 30 years in service to a variety of professional societies and trade organizations. From her first position as a governmental relations specialist for a residential construction association, she was hooked, finding purpose in helping volunteers and nonprofit organizations thrive.
Her experience in association management grew as did her responsibilities. She led membership and operations for business/ trade organizations and led governance for a large health care organization. As an executive director, she has partnered with boards to envision and innovate changes in governance, strategy, events and education.
Julie holds the Certified Association Executive credential from ASAE and a Master of Science degree in learning and change management from Northwestern University and cheers for the Mizzou Tigers, her college alma mater (University of Missouri). She resides in St Louis, MO where she spends free time with family, friends and a dog, Gidget. Having recently completed a term on her local municipal board, she’s spending more free time on the pickleball court.
