With more than 5,000 attendees, including executives, exhibitors, and thought leaders, ASAE 2023 truly celebrated the spirit of the association community. Talley was honored to stand among so many forward-thinking leaders and contributors to this ever-evolving industry.

Announcing Our New Joint Ventures

In addition to connecting with attendees, Talley was proud to showcase our new international partnerships during ASAE 2023.

We were thrilled to welcome:

  • Nicanor Sabula of AFAMCO, an association management company serving regions across Africa.

  • Girish Kwatra, founder of Association Advisors (AA), which provides AMC services throughout India.

Together, these partnerships reflect our ongoing mission to build a stronger, more connected global association management community. Meeting both Sabula and Kwatra in person was a highlight — and our conversations sparked exciting ideas for how we can better serve associations worldwide.

Our Hilarious Montreal Giveaway Contest

One of the most memorable parts of our ASAE exhibitor experience? Our Montreal Giveaway Contest — complete with laughter, creativity, and plenty of good jokes!

The rules were simple:

  1. Each participant could only enter once.

  2. Attendees had to stop by the Talley booth and get scanned in.

  3. Everyone had to tell at least one joke to qualify.

  4. Some moments were even captured on video!

The response was overwhelming — the humor, engagement, and camaraderie around our booth made the event even more special.

Congratulations to our giveaway winner, Heather!

We’re thrilled to announce this year’s winner as Heather Allain! Heather Allain has more than 25 years in the materials engineering field and now serves as the Executive Director of the Materials Technology Institute. Prior to her work at MTI, she was a materials engineer with DuPont for 14 years, where she primarily worked to support plants on the Gulf Coast and at Chambers Works in New Jersey. The Materials Technology Institute works to collaboratively solve materials engineering and corrosion challenges in the Chemical Process and Oil and Gas Industries, keeping industry safer, more reliable, sustainable, and productive.

Her prize includes:

  • Roundtrip airfare to Montreal,

  • A 2-night stay at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel,

  • VIP airport transfers,

  • A private walking tour, and

  • Tickets to both La Grande Roue and the Aura Show at the Basilica of Notre Dame.

This year’s ASAE was a valuable experience for our whole team. Thanks in large part to our continual focus on connecting and communicating with members of the association industry, our booth attendance grew 260% from last year’s conference, which allowed us to share thoughts, theories, and insights with more association/industry experts than ever before.
