A Look Back at ASAE 2023

This year’s ASAE was a valuable experience for our whole team. Thanks in large part to our continual focus on connecting and communicating with members of the association industry, our booth attendance grew 260% from last year’s conference, which allowed us to share thoughts, theories, and insights with more association/industry experts than ever before.

Our ASAE 2023 Recap

At this year’s ASAE Meeting, we at Talley felt fortunate to have the opportunity to speak to so many professionals in the association industry about the ways Talley can help stand-alone staffs within organizations with event management, strategic planning, and full service support. It is always such a pleasure to discuss best practices, the latest association management trends, and great innovative ideas with the figures from people passionate about our industry.

The excitement on the floor was palpable, with people rushing to gain insights from speakers like Shark Tank’s Daymond John, who offered an enriching message about investing in people rather than companies. Similarly, keynote speaker Chad Foster inspired with his experience as a blind man who was able to develop a new perspective in life, sharing with the audience his methods towards dealing with problems and finding creative solutions.

Overall, with over five thousand people in attendance, including thousands of executives and exhibitors alongside hundreds of booths, Talley Management Group was honored to be there with so many forward thinking and motivating association leaders!

Announcing Our Joint Ventures

Along with our many conversations in which we were able to demonstrate the value of our association management company, we were also excited to share more details about our new joint venture.

Talley was proud to be joined by Nicanor Sabula of AFAMCO, an association management company that services regions in Africa, to discuss our joint venture and the many possibilities of the partnership.

We were also excited to formally announce our joint venture with Association Advisors (AA), an AMC servicing regions of India. At ASAE, we were joined by AA founder Girish Kwatra, who offered valuable insights into his visions for the future of association management.

The Talley team was thrilled to meet both Sabula and Kwatra in person, along with the rest of the attendees at our booth, to converse in depth about our visions for association management as the world continues to change at a rapid pace.

The Montreal Giveaway Results

We’re thrilled to finally be able to announce the results of our giveaway for an all-expenses paid trip for 2 to Montreal! Just to recap, here were the rules:

  1. Participants can only be entered into the drawing for a prize once.
  2. All participants need to be scanned into the booth (collection of lead information).
  3. Participants must tell us at least 1 joke to enter.
  4. Participants may be videotaped per the discretion of Talley.
  5. Prize package will be valid until May 31, 2024 (hotel black-out dates may apply).

Countless ASAE attendees applied, and we heard plenty of good jokes that only accentuated the energy already alive in the room.

Based on what you see above, we’re thrilled to announce this year’s winner as Heather Allain!

Heather Allain has more than 25 years in the materials engineering field and now serves as the Executive Director of the Materials Technology Institute. Heather wins roundtrip airfare to Montreal, a 2-night stay in the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel, a private walking tour, VIP airport roundtrip transfers, and 2 tickets to both a La Grand Roue and an Aura show at the Basilica of Notre Dame!
