
Akilah Armand-Hazlip
Akilah Armand-Hazlip, Meeting Manager, brings over 30 years of experience to the Talley team. Her diverse set of skills allows her to build and maintain long term relationships within the hospitality, convention/trade show, and event planning industry. Obtaining her BA degree from Roosevelt University in Organizational Leadership, she focuses on Communication, Meetings & Event Management, Housing / Hotel Room Block Management, Strategy / Vision & Planning, Conflict & Negotiation, Diversity in the Workplace along with Travel & Tourism.
From hotel operations to city wide events, Akilah continues to prove that she is well qualified to manage and provide excellent service to clientele worldwide. During her career, she has managed well over 50 conferences and trade shows. Her events include various associations, high-end clientele in finance, societies in engineering, women and men’s apparel shows, environmental aware groups, receptions, and live sport/tournament events. She is also a current member of the MPI Chicago Chapter, part of the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility) Committee. When she has time, she enjoys her love of music as a singer/songwriter collaborating with her husband and brother-n-law while also spending time with her family.
